In this article we will discuss replace number with string in javascript by using regular expression . It find the numbers and then replaced with strings which specified. It is achieved by two methods
1. Using a regular expression literal
2. Using keyword RegExp object
Using a regular expression literal:

alert(string.replace(/\d+/g, "XXX"));
</script>
Input:
my contact number is 9545554545. my age is 27.
Output:
Using a keyword RegExp object:
<script type="text/javascript">
var string = "pincode of my city 627011";
var regexp = new RegExp("\\d+", "g");
alert(string.replace(regexp, "XXX"));
</script>
Input:
pincode of my city 627011.
Output:
